The 53181A is a frequency counter capable of measuring signals up to 225 MHz on channel 1 . With an optional RF channel 2; Option 015, Option 030, Option 050, or Option 124, this capability is extended to 1.5, 3.0, 5.0, or 12.4 GHz, respectively. The optional RF channel can be used to make frequency, period, and ratio measurements (Channel 1 / Channel 2 or Channel 2 / Channel 1).
The most popular third channel option is the 3 GHz option-030 as shown in the picture it uses a BNC connector and can covers the most popular wireless bands.
For rear panel terminals, option 062 can be order along with option 124. Option 062 will add a connector for channel 1 to the rear panel, in parallel with the front panel connector. The connector for channel 2 will be on the front panel. The second channel N-type connector can not be moved to the rear panel.
